Jason grew up in the industry working as a teenager at Banting’s Nursery in Bridge City. While in high school he won multiple awards for landscape design.   He attended Southeastern Louisiana University and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture.  Over the next 12 years, Jason went on to work for some of the most reputable landscaping companies in the New Orleans area, honing his craft.  Along the way, Jason became a licensed Landscape Horticulturalist, Irrigation Contractor, Arborist, Pesticide Applicator, and Louisiana State Contractor.  In 2015, Jason started Roussel Outdoors with the intent of providing client-focused landscape services throughout the New Orleans area.

Tony retired from the Navy as a Navy Chief Petty Officer in January 2018 after 22 years of honorable service. Over the span of his career, he served at 10 different commands stateside and overseas working in Human Resources, Finance, Administration, Manpower, and as an instructor of pay and personnel management. He was born and raised in New Orleans and really enjoys being a part of the Roussel Outdoors team.

Pilar grew up in the green industry. She worked in nurseries and landscape companies in her hometown of Baton Rouge through high school and college. Pilar graduated with honors from the Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture at LSU in 2009. She has worked abroad and most recently in New York City. She is a registered landscape architect in Louisiana and Connecticut. Pilar has worked on high end residential for many years designing and managing projects of all scales. Her work experience and travels lend a unique design sense that she brings to her work at Roussel Outdoors.
